Scan it, ring it up, see what you actually keep

A point of sale that reads barcodes, inventory per branch, purchase orders and a FEL invoice in the same transaction. Built in Guatemala, in quetzales, from Q249 a month.

  • FEL certified
  • Made in Guatemala
  • 30-day guarantee
  • No charge until day 15

Run the scanner and the item is already on the ticket

Pair a USB or Bluetooth scanner and the product lands on the ticket without you typing anything; with no scanner on hand, you scan with the phone camera from the point of sale itself. When a code is not in your catalogue yet, Cuadra looks it up in an external database and, if it finds it, brings back the name and brand so you can add the product right there rather than at closing time. And if the internet drops, the point of sale keeps ringing up: the catalogue and the scan come from a local copy, and the sale queues and uploads itself when the signal returns.

Each branch holds its own stock, and a count that actually reconciles

Every branch keeps its own inventory, so the shop that ran out of size M requests a transfer from the one with too many instead of ordering more. Stock comes down on its own with every sale, and Cuadra warns you when a product is running low, before you have nothing left to sell. When it is time to count, you record the physical count, see the difference against what the system says, and adjust on the same screen without erasing the history.

What breaks, expires or walks out gets counted too

Stock that breaks, expires or simply is not there gets recorded as shrinkage with its cause — theft, damage, expiry, miscount, a supplier short, a sample — instead of sitting as an unexplained gap. The shrinkage report breaks it down by cause and by branch, with the units lost, what they were worth, and what share of your cost went that way. That is the difference between knowing inventory is missing and knowing where it is going.

Purchase orders to your supplier, and the real margin on every product

You build the purchase order for your supplier, send it, and receive it by marking what actually arrived: if half of it showed up, the order stays partial until the rest comes in. Receiving recalculates the product’s average cost from what you just paid, so the cost-and-margin report tells you what each product actually leaves you rather than only what you charged — and it flags the lines that still have no cost behind them instead of handing you a round number that is not true. That is where you find out the product you move the most is not always the one that pays you the most.

You sell through the link and ship with the label already made

You switch on your online store and it starts from the same inventory as the counter, so anything sold out stops appearing and an online sale never leaves you short of what you already promised in the shop. Put the link in your Instagram bio, the customer pays by card, and the order lands alongside your in-store sales. To deliver it in town you charge shipping by department and municipality, with your own rate and your own free-shipping threshold; to send it upcountry you generate the waybill from that same order on your Cargo Expreso account, request the pickup, and the customer tracks the parcel.

Invoice the customer who gives you a NIT, and the one who does not

On most of your sales nobody asks for an invoice, and that is fine: at the till you tap “no NIT” and the sale stands as a final consumer. When someone does give you theirs, you type the NIT and Cuadra pulls the taxpayer name straight from the SAT so you cannot mistype it; from the order you issue the DTE and it is certified in seconds. If you are registered as a pequeño contribuyente, the document for your regime is issued — with its 5% and its statutory phrase — not the general-regime invoice. And a return erases nothing: stock goes back and a credit note is issued, with both on the record. Pro includes 250 DTE a month, and Q0.75 per DTE after that.

I tried three systems before Cuadra. It's the first that handles FEL the way SAT actually wants it — not as a paid bolt-on.

Frequently asked questions

  • How much does a point of sale system cost in Guatemala?
Cuadra Pro is Q249 a month, or Q2,490 a year (two months free). It includes the point of sale, inventory with purchase orders and transfers, the online store, reports, your own branding and 250 FEL DTEs a month; after those, Q0.75 per DTE. Pro covers up to three branches; if you need more, Premium is Q500 a month. There is no per-sale commission: however much you sell, the plan costs the same.
  • Does it work with a barcode scanner?
Yes. Pair a USB or Bluetooth scanner and the product lands on the ticket without typing, or scan with the phone camera from the point of sale if you do not have one. When the code is not in your catalogue, Cuadra looks it up in an external database and, if it finds it, brings back the name and brand so you can add the product on the spot.
  • Can I manage inventory across several branches?
Yes. Each branch keeps its own stock and you transfer goods between them when one has a surplus and another has run out. Stock comes down on its own with every sale, you get an alert when something is running low, and a physical count shows you the difference so you can adjust without erasing the history. Pro covers up to three branches.
  • How do I know what I really earn on each product?
Every product carries its cost, so the report tells you the margin each sale leaves you, not just what you charged. The shrinkage report also shows you, by cause and by branch, what broke, expired or went missing — the part that normally never shows up in anyone’s numbers.
  • Can I sell online and deliver the order?
Yes. Your online store shares the counter's inventory and orders land in the same system. For your own delivery you charge shipping by department and municipality, with your rate and your free-shipping threshold. To send by courier you generate the waybill from the order on your Cargo Expreso account, request the pickup, and the customer tracks the parcel; if you ship cash on delivery, Cuadra reconciles what was deposited against what was collected.
  • How do I issue the electronic invoice for a sale?
At the till you capture the NIT — or tap “no NIT” — and from the order you issue the DTE, certified with the SAT in seconds: invoice, receipt, credit note or debit note. With a NIT it goes out in the customer’s name; without one, to a final consumer. If you are registered as a pequeño contribuyente, the document for your regime is issued instead.
